Søren Horn Petersen

About Me

I am specialised in design, planning and implementation of technology driven strategies and business models in organisations in transition and with a global perspective.

Born in the summer of '68, I have taken the full journey from hand written notes and faxes to multi-platform communication, from application engineering to executive office, and have grown with the globalisation, the disruption of the old world order, social media and digitalisation. 

Although being a seasoned global traveller and long time commuter, I have a strong home base in Slagelse, Denmark, where i been living with my family for decades. I have two sons born in '98 and '92, and they both have started their life on their own.

I enjoy history and politics, and to read both fiction and non-fiction books, preferably with a historical/political angle or with business thinking or anecdotes. I am a keen story teller.

Enjoy social and cultural experiences, and have explored the world and life.  I continue to do so.

Speak Danish and English fluently. Scandinavian and German on negotiation/conversation level. French on survival basis. 

Education and Training

Basic education:

9 years in Danish Elementary and Mathematical graduate with political science major, Slagelse Gymnasium, Denmark

Post Educational:

Extensive training within management, leadership, strategic marketing, product management, IPR, Contracts, coaching, negotiation, financials and specific IT programs.

Internal technical education within fan / rotating technology (Fan Engineer), 1992 -1994

Full training program in contract negotiation and management, 1994-1996

EFQM Basic, Advanced and Assessor training, 2008
